Component whiskies are individually matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry, ex-bourbon, French oak, and Japanese Mizunara oak casks before being blended to create a layered and expressive final whisky. Kaiyo also uses ocean maturation as part of its distinctive approach to whisky production.

Bottled at 44% ABV (88 proof) and un-chill filtered, Five Wood offers an elegant combination of fresh citrus, ripe fruit, honey, vanilla, caramel, warm spice, and the aromatic influence of Mizunara oak.
