Each year as part of the Parker’s Heritage Collection, we select a special whiskey to be released in the name of our late Master Distiller Parker Beam. The barrels selected for this series include Bourbon, rye and wheat whiskeys, among others, and are some of the finest and most diverse whiskeys ever produced. They are a fitting tribute to the expertise of Parker Beam.
This year the 14th edition of Parker’s Heritage Collection — the heavy char treatment is going to a bourbon, and is aged 10 years in smoldering level 5 casks.
Crafted from a mash of 78% corn, 12% malted barley, and 10% rye — will donate a portion of proceeds to ALS research, the disease from which namesake and originator Parker Beam succumbed some years ago. To date, Heaven Hill says it has raised over $1 million for ALS research.
