The Lost Explorer Mezcal was co-founded by David de Rothschild and Thor Björgólfsson, the mission was to create a brand that empowers people to explore and appreciate the environment, foster social good and promote curiosity. In partnership with expert Maestro Mezcalero Don Fortino Ramos, The Lost Explorer Mezcal is designed to empower sustainable Mexican enterprise, while protecting the ancient artisanal craft, heritage and biodiversity. The sustainably cultivated agave used in the line are espadin, tobala and salmiana. Each is labelled with the average age of each unique plants maturation cycle. This is intended to give the consumer a deeper understanding of the incredible time and effort, both by nature and the people producing these products, that goes into every bottle of mezcal.
