An estate product from Kentucky Artisan Distillery, located in Crestwood, Kentucky, is a rare 100 percent Rye mash bill. No other grains! This true and intense Rye whiskey, aged for five years, was then peacefully resting in select Pauillac Barriques (wine barrels) for another nine months. The peppery Pauillac reinforces the Rye's spicy character and takes it to a new level of elegance and complexity.
It has a dark, seductive amber color and a multi-dimensional bouquet rich in blackberry, plum, cherry notes, hints of coffee, and spices, primarily black pepper. On the palate, it shows a generous volume with smoked nuts and a pleasant well-integrated wood finish. Unbeatable!
